Amazingly Wonderful Variety Show

Floyd’s Young Actors Co-op will be presenting the Amazingly Wonderful Theater Variety Show on Friday, May 9th, Sunday (7pm), May 11th (5pm) and Saturday, May 17th (7pm). The Young Actors Co-op is developing quite the reputation for exceptional performances. Audience members have said, “That was the best children’s theater I’ve ever seen!”, “Diverse, talented and entertaining.” and “I didn’t want it to end!” The performance will be at the Sun Music Hall and Cultural Arts Center, 302 S. Locust St. Floyd

Cake Auction

Cub Scout Pack 348 in Riner is pleased to announce their annual Cake Auction. The Auction will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 10:00am at Auburn United Methodist Church in Riner. The father/scout creations will be judged in one of five categories before being auctioned to highest bidders. The Cake Auction is one of the biggest fundraiser events the pack holds each year.

Mt. Tabor Ruritan Fish Fry

Saturday, May 10. All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry from 5 to 7 p.m. at Slusser's Chapel Picnic Shelter, 1531 Mount Tabor Road, Blacksburg. Fish, Fries, Slaw, Homemade Desserts, and Beverage. The Blacksburg High School Jazz Band will be playing. Adults-$7, children (under 12)-$3, carry-outs-$7. Held rain or shine. Event is fundraiser for Ruritan Club's community service projects.

Click Your Way to Better Health

Psychologists in Virginia Tech's College of Science are seeking participants for a newly developed free Internet program that helps people make permanent lifestyle changes to improve their health. "Guide -to-Health" provides the skills, support and information people need to increase physical activity, eat more nutritiously, and prevent weight gain.
