Parking in Blacksburg
Public parking lots (metered) in Blacksburg are available at:
- the Municipal Parking Lot on Progress St.
- the Farmer Market's Parking lot on Draper Ave.
- the Church Street Parking lot on Church St.
There is also metered street parking available on many streets in downtown
Blacksburg.

In order to meet the rising demands of over 11,000 additional fans, Blacksburg
Transit is offering a “Park and Ride” alternative to football
patrons. Service will run every 15 minutes directly to Lane Stadium. With
service starting approximately two hours before game time and two hours
after the game. In cooperation, the Town of Blacksburg and Virginia Tech
have set aside the following locations as Public Parking lots:
- Blacksburg High School: parking $5.00 per vehicle, free shuttles
to stadium
- New Middle School (Price’s Fork Rd): parking $5.00 per vehicle,
free shuttles to stadium
- Handicap Parking: parking $5.00 per vehicle, free shuttles
to stadium
- Old Middle School: parking $5.00 per vehicle, no shuttles (stadium
is within walking distance)
The proceeds from the game day parking lots will go towards the Montgomery
County School System, in an effort to strengthen our community.
