Configuring Microsoft Outlook Express to use POP over SSL
Open Microsoft Outlook Express.
Click on the 'Tools' menu item.
Click on the 'Accounts' menu item.
This starts the 'Internet Accounts' window.
Select your BEV POP account.
Click the 'Properties' button.
This starts the properties window, click on the 'Advanced' tab.
You should see a window similar to below.
Beside 'Incoming Mail (POP3)' change the port from 110 to 995.
Click to put a checkmark beside 'This server requires a secure connection (SSL).'
Click 'Apply' or 'OK' buttons.
Click 'OK' on the previous windows.
Microsoft Outlook Express should now be configured to check your mail via POP over SSL.
