Configuring Macintosh Mail for POP over SSL

  • Click 'ok' and then click the 'Advanced' tab.
  • If prompted to save changes, click 'Save'. Choose 'Save' every time the program prompts you.



    Configuration of Macintosh Mail to use POP over SSL. Save Changes to Account Settings.





  • Click the 'Use SSL' options box and enter '995' for the SSL Port number and choose 'Password' as Authentication.

  • Close the Account Information and Account Options windows and return the the Macintosh email program
  • Click 'Get Mail.'
  • This may bring up a window 'Unable to Verify SSL server', similar to below:
  • For now, click the 'Continue' button.
