MS Outlook Express

  1. Launch the Outlook Express application

  2. From the Outlook Express menu bar, click on "Tools", then select "Accounts" sub-menu item. This brings up the "Internet Accounts" window.

  3. Click on the "Mail" tab on the "Internet Accounts" window. A list box shows the currently configured mail accounts. Click once on the account name under the "Account" column to highlight it. If there are no accounts in the list under the "Mail" tab, go here for further instructions.

  4. Click on the "Properties" button on the right side of the "Internet Accounts" window. This brings up the "Properties" window.

  5. Click on the "General" tab of the "Properties" window.

  6. Enter your complete BEV email address in the field labeled "Email address" For example, johndoe@bev.net

  7. Click on the "Servers" tab of the "Properties" window.

  8. Enter your SMTP server hostname into the field labeled "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server"

  9. Enter pop.bev.net into the field labeled "Incoming mail (POP3) server"

  10. Using only lower case letters, enter your BEV PID into the field labeled "Mail server user name". This is the first part of your email address. For example, if your address is johndoe@bev.net then your user name is johndoe

  11. Using only lower case letters, enter your password into the field labeled "Password"

  12. Click the "OK" button on the "" window.

  13. Click the "OK" button on the "Internet Accounts" window.

The next time you check your email Outlook Express should use your new settings.
