for Children's Health Media. This creatively animated, interactive
website has sections specifically for parents, children, and teenagers.
Each area provides age-appropriate information and activities that
users will find appealing. Health topics range from first-aid treatments
to healthy nutrition and mental health. Esta página disponible

Department
of Health and Human Services
The information provided for children on the Department of Health
and Human Services website spans mental, physical, and emotional
wellness issues. Most specific interest links are directed to other
organizations, such as those for child dental health, child safety
guidelines, and resources to help children and families. The National
Clearinghouse on Families and Youth also provides toll-free crisis
hotline numbers. The U.S. Department of HHS also lists various health
related web pages designed for the younger populations. Esta página
disponible en español.
Familydoctor.org
The American Academy of Family Physicians has created a website
designed for all members of the family. Familydoctor.org links to
Kidshealth.org where children can enter the Kid’s section,
a creatively-animated page with health-related articles and surveys,
designed at various age-appropriate levels of understanding. Parents
can enter their own section to find preventive care and treatment
suggestions for their children. Esta página disponible en
español.
Food
and Drug Administration
The Food and Drug Administration has developed a kid’s page
designed to creatively introduce younger visitors into important
health-related issues. Some options to visit on this page include
the Food and Safety Quiz, the All About Vaccines question and answer
page, and Yorick, the bionic skeleton.
Medem™
Geared towards parents, the Children’s Health section
of the Medem’s Medical library includes valuable information
about child and infant care. From toilet training methods, to asthma
and allergic diseases, to environmental health, to political issues
surrounding children’s health, this page offers guidance for
the development of a child at every stage of growth.
Healthfinder®
The Just for You section of Healthfinder helps parents
locate the latest information about caring for their infant or child.
Such topics range from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome to motor vehicle
safety, to developmental disability. Information can be located
in one of three ways: Alphabetical listings, keyword search, or
links to other infant/child related health organizations. Esta página
