Painting - ClarisWorks 4 Use a paint document when you want to create a variety of artwork and illustrations. Use a paint frame when you want to add a painting to a text document, drawing, database, or spreadsheet. For example, you can use a paint document to create logos for stationery, draw illustrations for reports or newsletters, paint abstract images and create school artwork. You can also use other types of frames to add text, pictures, charts, and spreadsheets to your painting.
Paint images The tools for painting images in a paint document or frame are in the tool panel. You can also use the drawing tools to paint. To paint an image: Click a tool (i.e., Brush, Eraser, Paint bucket, Pencil, Spray can) and drag the pointer in the painting area. Select images or attributes You can use special tools (i.e., Selection rectangle, Eyedropper, Lasso, Magic wand) for selecting and adding visual effects to images in paint documents and frames. Painting is like creating a watercolor. You add and blend colors and textures.
The following table compares drawing and painting.
